Bent an axle on my camp trailer and they hooked me up with a great shop that gave me a place to work on the trailer and fix the axle. The cape lookout ferry service is a bit nicer, but I've had great customer service with Davis. Recommend using Davis Shore Ferry Service if possible.

There is fresh water on the island (although I would bring most of what I wanted to drink) and they sell bagged/block ice at the ranger station.

The winds can get pretty extreme (seen quite a few destroyed tents) and there is limited shelter when a big storm blows up. It's a beautiful place to camp, but be ready for unpredictable weather.
